April is National Poetry Month

Listen up teen poets,
It’s ‘bout time you know.
National Poetry Month is here,
And it’s time you show
Your talents at the pen
And your talents at the mic
And join us for
Teen Poetry Slam night.

Tuesday, April 17,
At 7:00 pm,
Metro Coffee Company
Is where it begins.
You must sign up
If you want to share.
Bring friends and family
If you dare.

Not ready for the stage?
Don’t know what to write?
But want to share with others
So you’ll be out of sight?
On the second Tuesday
In the Teen Zone
You have the opportunity
to share and hone
writing talents
that are all your own.

So join us for Writer’s Slam
Tuesday, April 10,
6pm.
We look forward to
Seein’ you then.

Can’t get enough Poetry?
Want to make something
Fun and free?
Back “In the Zone”
On April 24
Make magnetic poetry.

Words you can move
Words you can shape.
Words you find and
Words you make.
Words that say
Something real.
Words that express
How you feel.

So as you can see
There’s a lot in store.
To celebrate poetry
And a whole lot more.

Hemp, Hemp, Hooray
